Our Special Needs Ministry seeks to provide meaningful connection, individualized accommodations, and essential support for people of all ages with special needs.

Our goal is full inclusion in the life of NCC, celebrating each person’s unique gifts so everyone can belong, contribute, and flourish within our church family.

Buddies provide 1:1 support for children in our New City Kids classrooms. Buddies build supportive relationships with children and families to assist a specific child with communication needs, social engagement, and participation in class lessons and activities. 

Our worship services can, at times, be loud. We provide ear plugs so all can participate at a comfortable volume. Ear plugs can be found on a table in the back of the worship center. 

Every child worships differently. Sensory bags support children during corporate prayer and worship by providing discreet sensory tools that help them focus and engage. Bags are available for checkout at the New City Kids Desk.

We know that noisy and busy environments can sometimes be overwhelming. To support children in participating in corporate prayer and worship, families can check-out noise reducing headphones at the New City Kids Desk. 

In our New City Kids classrooms we provide visual schedules, timers, first/then boards, visual communication cards, and sensory support items to encourage comfort and participation.
